 "Island born of fire" Camiguin Island, Philippines Jesus Christ It is where life-size statues depicting the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ - the 14 Stations of the Cross that dot a trail to Old Volcano's peak are found. Common Wood-Nymph Butterfly A butterfly is an insect of the order Lepidoptera. Like all Lepidoptera, butterflies are notable for their unusual life cycle with a larval caterpillar stage, an inactive pupal stage, and a spectacular metamorphosis into a familiar and colorful winged adult form. Most species are day-flying so they regularly attract attention. "Island born of fire" Camiguin Island, Philippines Cross Marker & Sunken Cemetery lying 20 feet underwater in Barrio near Bonbon. A hugh cross-installed in 1982 to mark the community cemetery, which sunk during the 1871 volcanic eruption. Sunken Cemetery is located on the eastside of the island. When you are there, you can see the gravestones underwater. Snorkellers and scuba divers can still explore coral encrusted tombstones. Islanders bring flowers and candles as an offering to those who once were buried there. Item # 43HP

Horace Rackham Memorial Fountain The fountain was named after Horace Rackham, the first president of the Zoological Commission. In 1939, sculptor Corrado Parducci created the Horace Rackham Memorial Fountain, popularly known as "The Bear Fountain".
